Recently I have been getting problems with my printing. In OS X 10.1.5 when i go to open the print center it unexpectedly quits and I cannot open it nor print anything. Can anyone tell me a good way to fix this problem or determine what the problem is. Thanks

you may want to try throwing away your preference files. they are in your user folder under library->preferences. it's "com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist" and any other print preferences. that may help.

Ok

I searched for those pref's and I do not have any Pref's at all in my Libarary for my printers. I dont know what happened all of a sudden my printing did this to me.

There are 2 Libraries, one's in the root of the hard drive, and one's in your home. Make sure you look in both of them. I don't have a printer on this system so I'm not sure which one the printer preferences are stored in, but usually everything you need is stored in the one in your home folder.

I think Nermal is refering to the preferences for Print Center rather than for the printer you are using currently. Can you open the print center by going to it in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder? If you can it could be something simple like having the queue shut off or something like that.

yes

I can open the print center but it says I have no printer selected, and when I hit the button to add printer, the program unexpectedly quits!

Make sure the printer is connected correctly and that it is turned on when you are trying add the printer. Otherwise, check to make sure that your drivers are up-to-date.
