Print Problems between Word 2008 for Mac and iWorks 2009

Hi

I currently use a MacBook and have both Word 2008 and iWorks 2009, however recently I have started to have printing issues.

When printing from iWorks the page prints faded and as though printer is out of ink. Print the same information in a Word 2008 printer and the page prints perfectly.

I have updated the drivers the printer is a Brother MFC-9440CN.

After many trials and reams of paper later i have figured if the document is created in Word 2008 it will print perfectly but if exported to word or iWork is used the information will not print.

Other than updating the drivers which I have done, I don't know how else to sort this.

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
