macOS Print queue status track over network

Hi All,
I have a printer installed over the network. Is there a way to track the job status printer using CUPS or something else?
I am using a Dell 3130cn printer. I am able to view the status in the browser by giving the IP address of the printer. Now I need to achieve the same thing using the code. This job status track is necessary to charge the user based on the success/failure. Also note, I need to get the IP address of the printer dynamically.
Is there a piece of code which someone can share with me?

Note: The development and deployment of this project will be on Mac OS X (Leopard).
