I have an '09 Xserve running 10.10.5 Server with Server app 4.1.3. It runs Profile Manager, File Sharing, PaperCut, and Printer Sharing. (No Open Directory; we use AD for auth in a Magic Triangle configuration.)
All services have been working fine on this server since summer 2014. But recently, Printer Sharing has been flaky. It will randomly stop advertising the printer via mDNS. Macs will simply say "Looking for printer," while iPads will come up with an error message or won't see the printer at all. Turning Printer Sharing off and back on in System Preferences solves the issue for a random amount of time.
I've looked over the logs and didn't really see anything that would point toward a resolution. Anyone have any advice on this? I know I'm not hitting the default 100 user limit; although we do have 180 iPads in the building, the only printer users are our 10 staff members. Unless it's counting the fact that iPads may SEE the printer as being users?
