I installed the print shop 2 application.
Then I tried to work with some templates.
Each time I select a template, it requires the whole dmg package to be mounted, to find the specific template I need.

When I installed it I had no option to select a 'full' install, as it happens with most mac application installations.

I would like to have all the content(templates etc) in my hard disk and not searching every time for the original dmg package.

How can I do it?

It sounds like your source must have deleted essential resources from the installation in order to post it on the Internet. My suggestion is that you buy the app and get the complete installation.
