Print to PDF doesn't print some parts of webpages

I'm trying to print out pages of my LiveJournal: http://digitaldraco.livejournal.com/400770.html

I'm using the OS X (10.5.8) built in print-to-PDF feature but when I do, the border bars and other colors behind the text (not sure what to call it) is missing.

How can I fix this?

I don't see that option in my print dialogues. :\

Update: I was trying to print with Chrome.

When I switch to Firefox, the "print background images/colors" options appear in a special "Firefox" settings option.

Ahh, I'm using Safari. I thought the print dialog box was more or less universal!

I assumed it would be, too. I just tried it for the heck of it.
