Hi everybody,
My old computer crashed and for my new computer I now need to find a Printer Driver for my beautiful Samsung ML-1630.

All printer drivers I can find are too old for my new computer. Is there anyone who knows if there is a driver that would work
with my new computer?

Regards

I couldn't find anything. That printer lacks all semblance of Mac support. You might try searching the App Store for some apps that support wireless printing to it. You might also try connecting to the printer in System Settings and treating it as a generic printer. Good luck.

I did a search and some people have reported success this way:
Download Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 for OS X
Install Pacifist and open the package(https://www.macintoshrepository.org/10550-pacifist) Pacifist is from CharlesSoft
This allows you to find, override and install the driver files
Go to system settings>printers and scanners and add the ML 1630 manually.

I have not tried this however, it's just a report from someone who said they got it to work under Sequoia.

I have that printer. I was able to get it to work with Big Sur on M1 I think but that was the last version I got it to work. I have switched it over to a windows computer and over the network I can still print from any Mac. These printers were bought by HP and they stopped all Mac support. The printer has no redeeming qualities either other than the fact it prints for a low cost but it doesn’t even pull the paper in straight. Anyways I’d use it with some other computer as drivers still work on windows and Linux based systems.
