Printer Drivers

If I delete printer drivers, what effect will this have on me in the future? These are safe to delete, right? If I ever need anything... like if I buy a different printer in a few years, all I'll need to do is download the driver from the manufacturer's site, correct?

I.E.- the Lexmark, Canon, brother, HP, PPD, Sharp, FujiXerox, etc folders

Yes you don't loose anything. Whenever you need them you can easily get them off the manufacturer's website.
