Printer hangs

Have MacBook, 3GB RAM, 35 GB free on HD. HP laser printer 3055.

Mac OS 10.6.3

When I try to print I get spinning beach ball for about a minute.

Any ideas to speed it up very welcome.

Without knowing anything about the document that you are trying to print, how you are connected to your multifunction, or much of anything else, the most likely explanation is that it takes time to download the print job from your computer to your multifunction. With only 64 MB printer memory, this is to be expected.

Thanks MisterMe. Printer is getting on.
I am wired to the HP, and at times the doc is large in Adobe InDesign.

I guess I am asking too much. Just be patient.
