Printer-internet problem

I hope sumone can help,I installed my Lexmark Printer today and it will print a test page fine ,but my problem is this,I have Verizon usb internet ok,if I try and print a page or article off the net,it immediately knocks me off the connection and doesnt print either :confused: anybody got any clues ?
Help really appreciated.
