We got a printer - an hp deskjet f4480 all-in-one. When I connected it to our iMac running Mountain Lion, software update recognized it needed to download the drivers, did so, and everything worked great.
Then I tried to connect it to our old MacBook (os x 10.5.8). Once again, it recognized I didn't have the necessary drivers, but when I ran software update it said everything was up to date and nothing was needed. Everything I've found via apple to manually download is for Mountain Lion and won't work on the MacBook.
Is there another place to find older drivers that will work, or is there another fix? Ultimately I'd like to use this as a networked printer, but it doesn't make much sense if only he computer can use it.
Thanks in advance.
