printer "live" but won't print

I have a Samsung ML 2510 which has been working fine for several months with my MacBook (OS 10.4.10). Yesterday I sent it a 20-page job. It printed two pages and quit. Since then I have reset the printers, plugged and unplugged everything, restarted, tried printing from Word as well as from Pages, used disk utilities to reset permissions. Nothing works.

The printer is connected. When I send a job, the printer revs up as if it were going to print, but then stops.The job is in the queue.

Can anyone help me?

Have you tried to reinstall the printer software? If it did come with any..
