Printer menu frozen on desktop prevents shut-off

I can't shut my MacBook off because there are two Canon Pixma printer menu screens locked onto the desktop. I haven't figured out a way to get rid of them. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software, but they're still frozen in place.
