I have a rather annoying Epson Stylus CX7400 that, no matter if you only want to print B&W, you HAVE to have the 3 colored ink full. I HARDLY print in color so the color ink tends to dry up from lack of usage. Such a waste of money!. I love it for it's scanning and copying functions.

Can someone recommend an inexpensive printer that will work w/o the color? But If I do want to print in color I just have to load them? Also has to be able to work on a Mac with OS 10.4.

Thanks for your help!

I have a cheap Canon MX432 all in one and it will do what you want.

There is this setting in the printer utilities.

I assume any Canon printer would have this feature, but can't be sure.

I WISH this Epson printer gave me this option!

Thank you Weaselboy!
