My last printer died last year, and I’m finally about to replace it. Since then, I switched to a MBP. I’m looking for something wireless than will print documents and photos, ideally from my iPad and iPhone as well.

I’m looking at a Canon PIXMA, but I’m open to suggestions. Is there anything I should stay away from completely?

Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts you may have?

I really like Brother B&W laser printers. They're cheap, reliable, and toner lasts a long time. As for photos, I prefer to let someone else (i.e. my local Target) print them for me.

Echo for Brother laser.

Stay away from inkjet. It might be less expensive up front but it is almost always more costly and more troublesome in the long run.
