Printer sharing issues

Hi all,
I am trying to be able to print from my Macbook Pro and am having no luck.
The printer I am wanting to use is connected to a Windows PC via USB (Windows 7 32bit if it makes a difference), and my MBP is connected to the same network of the PC via wi-fi.
In settings on the windows machine I have turned on printer sharing and such, but when I look for printers on my Mac none appear at all.
Help would be appreciated,

Followed the youtube instructions and still not working.

On Windows 7, go into Control Panel, Programs and Features, Turn Windows Features On or off, and enable LPD Print Services. Also, disable the Windows Firewall.

Still no dice, I can add the printer but just get a message saying that it failed to connect to it when I try print.

Can you successfully ping the Windows 7 computer by IP and by name from the Mac?
