Printer Woes!

I have a HP LazerJet 4P printer. My iMac recognizes it but when I try to print it has an error saying, "W2 INVALID PERS". Does anyone know how to fix this?

The printer work fine on an old PC I have.

i had a lot of hastle with printers on my macbook go to pc world and buy a canon printer 39£ plug it in and go

Here is the error message meaning.

The job was not printed because the requested personality, such as PostScript (MP), was not installed. Install the language in which the files are sent, together with enough memory to support that language. Clear message by pressing SHIFT and Continue on the printer.

Make sure that you are using the right printer driver.

Try and change the default personality from AUTO to PCL and vice versa.
