Printers can't be added using Printer Setup Utility

I would need to install the network printer Oki C3300 on Mac OS X Version 10.4.10 on a PowerBook G4. The driver software from Oki installed 6 files:
Library/Printers/Okidata/C3300PM.plugin
Library/Printers/Okidata/C3400_EE_PM.plugin
Library/Printers/Okidata/OKITcpIpIOM.plugin
Library/Printers/Okidata/OKITcpIpPBM.plugin
Library/Printers/Okidata/OKIUSBIOM.plugin
Library/Printers/Okidata/OKIUSBPBM.plugin

The instructions form Oki are:
4 Adding a printer

1. Ensure your printer is connected and is switched on.
2. Launch Printer Setup Utility
3. Click Add
4. Click More Printers…
5. Select either Oki TCP/IP or Oki USB from the pop-up menu.
For Oki TCP/IP connections, enter the printer IP address and select the Model Name.

Now the Printer Setup Utility does not allow to add any printer. No printers are listed in this window. However I click More Printers… in order to select my printer that way instead. This does not work either.
And I am not shure about the configurations to make for a network printer using TCP/IP.
Which Protocol do I need to use?
Finally I believe that the Software for the Printer Setup Utility is corrupted.
In /private/var/log/cups/error.log the following messages appear:
