I have a new Imac. I have tried to run it with my old HP 2110 printer. HP will only support printing but not scanning on the Mac. I was wondering if any one could suggest a combo printer (Print and Scan) that works well with a Mac.

Thanks

Bob

Nearly all Multi-Function printers will work. I suspect that if you use the built-in scanner Service you might be able to use your scanner as it is. Beyond that, just check the printer's specs (on the box, online, or on the Manufacturer's Website) to check that the scanning function is supported on OS X.

As far as build quality and quality of mac drivers Canon is the best. HP is second. Don't really bother with anything else for consumer multifunction printer/scanners.

I prefer the Epson scanning software but their ink is very expensive. I prefer Canon printers & their scanning software is OK (at least it works in OS X). Since I'd rather have a color laser printer, I have separate scanner & printer.
