printing: default to black and white preset - not possible?

we have a color printer with authorisation keys and so I defined two print presets; black&white and color.
the OSX.6 and older seems to not be able to default to a certain preset, but defaults strictly to the last one used.

problem is, that this way tons of color printouts are made just because ppl don't care and forget to check before printing.
any way to make the system always default back to the cheaper black and white preset?
