I have a MINOLTA-2300W that does have a ppd driver for it.

I have installed 'foomatic-RIP' 'ESP Ghostscript' and 'usbtb'

I am getting the error ""The process "foomatic-rip" stopped unexpectedly with status 1" "

Any clues on this. I would love to make use of this printer. Yes I know I should never have bought a win printer, please save that comment for a different thread.

I can goto http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/ and everything appears ok, other than the above error.

Thanks

One Note

I have 2 printers installed

Description: magicolor 2300W
Location: mike’s Computer
Printer State: stopped, accepting jobs.
"Paused"
Device URI: usb:/dev/usb/lp0

Description: MINOLTA-QMS magicolor 2300W (usbtb)
Location:
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs.
"The process "foomatic-rip" stopped unexpectedly with status 1"
Device URI: usbtb://MINOLTA-QMS/magicolor%202300W?serial=068630090100

Playing around with the Device URI and changing the first one to "usb:/dev/usb/lp0" I did get the lights on the printer to blink as if it was receiving something.

Thought I would add this bit of info.
