I tried printing from Aperture to my HP inkjet printer and it looked fairly good, except it was alot darker than the actual photo. I'm wondering what settings I have to change to make the printed photo come out more like it looks in Aperture.

I'm confused as to whether I should let the printer itself handle color management or use a setting from Aperture. Or what other settings I should change to make the photo on my computer match what comes out on the printer.

I have a Canon printer, not sure if your HP works the same. There is a selector where you can chose what type of paper you are using. Try and see if that works. In the print screen, its located midway.
