Printer: Canon i850

connected to:
iMac PowerPC G4 (2.1) 800 MHz
MacOS 10.3.9

Windows box:
Dell laptop... Windows XP

So, I'm close on this... but for some reason not quite there.

On the Mac, I've got Windows Sharing and Printer Sharing enabled. On my PC, I can do Start->Run and type in \\<mac ip address> and hit enter, and the printer connected to the Mac shows up in the window that opens. I can right-click on it, choose connect... and it works fine. It shows up in my Printers folder, and the status says "Ready". But, if I try to print a test page... nothing happens. I might as well have closed my eyes and wished really hard for paper to go through the printer.

Any thoughts on what I may have overlooked?

I'm Mac-retarded, pc-literate if that affects how you word your responses.

Thanks in advance.

The two things that I did to make it work when I was doing this were:

1) Make sure printer sharing is on.
2) Download and install Bonjour on the windows machines.
