Ok...So my friend has iWork 09 as well as I and im trying to help her and I cant figure this out. She has a presentation with 9 slides or so and she would like to print 6 slides per page.

Keynote does it, except it makes them all super small. Powerpoint handles this with no problem. So im totally stomped on this. It seems like the old Keynote did this no problem....

Print > Layout (from the Drop Down Menu) > Pages per Sheet.

I did this with a Keynote presentation printed as PDF and then used Preview for this.

But Keynote does the same, even if you can't preview it.

ok. so yea, here is the issue, i select that option and this is what happens. Like no matter what i change, it still comes out the same. And its not even that the preview is messing up, when I print it out, it still comes out like this. It also does this for my friend who is using iWork 09.

Edit:
Yea, I just restored iWork 08 and it handles the issue with no problem what so ever but when I try the same thing in 09, it wont do it. Can anybody confirm that this indeed is an issue with iWork 09? Cause my friend, her computer which has only iWork 09 does the same thing.

It works for me in Keynote '09.

I opened a template ("Retro"), added 5 more pages/slides to it, pressed "Cmd + P", went to "Layout", set "Pages per Sheet" to 6, and saved as PDF.

The PDF had 1 page with 6 small pages on it.

I'll try printing now.

PS: I currently can't print on the network printer at work (night shift).

awesome. So yea....I guess saving it as a PDF works and then printing it through that method, but just through Keynote, its a no go. I was on the phone with Apple for an hour too and they couldnt make it work either so I guess no update soon?

I have never posted before, but I was searching for a solution to this same issue and came across this ( >1year old) post. Since it appears unanswered, I figured I'd share what I found.

I believe the poster's original issue was caused by choosing 'Handouts', and then also trying to print multiple pages per sheet. I don't think that's what you want.

Your solution is to print 'Slides', and then choose number of pages/per sheet in the Layout section. That will print as you expected.

Hope this helps...I've certainly learned enough from forums like this!
