Printing to a shared mac printer from xp please help

Hi,

I'm having real trouble printing from my girlfriends xp laptop to a printer connected to my imac running OS 10.6.2

I believe I've tried everything and there was a point where it was working beautifully then it just stopped.

I think i need just a step by step type thing to aid me. If anyone could assist that would be excellent. Thanks.
