I just got this MBP, the free printer, etc. They handed me the Canon PIXMA MP480.
My PC is running Windows 7. I installed the software on the PC and the MBP. I've been trying to print from my MBP to the MP480 that is connected to the PC.
I've followed this guide and was able to add the printer.

I also found this. I installed the open source gutenprint drives as stated.

As of now when I try to print here's what I get.
Tree connect failed (NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED)
Error Number: 306 A communication error has occurred. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer. Then try printing again.
I can print from my PC easily. It is shared. I know the PC's IP address and the name of the shared printer.
My search on google, and MR have came up empty handed.
Can anyone help me out here please?
