Printing to Mac printer in mixed network

OK, I recently moved to a MP for my main desktop and am attempting to share my USB HP2600n on the network. I have enabled printer and file sharing. I've installed Bonjour for windows and the printer drivers on my XP desktop and on my Vista (64bit) laptop. The XP desktop seems to print without a problem to my printer. The Vista laptop drops connection to the printer regularly. It still sees the printer, sends the print job, the queue clears, but nothing prints and no error message. I have set the user name of the Vista machine as a shared user and that helps, but it still drops the connection.

Any ideas?
