I'm trying to get my MBP and iBook running Leopard/Tiger to print to my CanonMP210 connected to a networked XP box.

There are no firewalls running and i can ping the machine and see shared folders. Under Leopard, i've attempted to add the printer by the following:
Add printer under Print&Fax pref pane
selected correct workgroup and machine
it then prompts for user/pass, there isn't any so i leave it blank and hit 'connect'
installed printers are then listed
I select the Canon and the installed driver, hit add and I have a new printer listed as; idle, default with a green light.

When i try and print though, the file pops up in the print queue under OS X but it's status is listed as 'Stopped' & I can't get it to start by hitting hold/resume or pause etc.
also, the file is not listed in the print queue under XP.

Tiger does the same but lists NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Any ideas what's going wrong?
