Basic question: I want to add printing to my app, and I've found that wifi printing doesn't work from the iPad with iOS 4.2 so I am wondering, what backup plan has Apple implemented? Can I print to a PDF file instead? (I really hope I don't have to resort to using libharu or something.)
In other words in order to add printing to my app, I have to have either
Furthermore, I just checked and printing does not even work from within Simulator i.e. it finds no printers. Whereas Mac OS/X programs have no trouble.

- a working AirPrint facility, or
- a way to print through USB and iTunes to a printer that Mac OS/X knows about, or
- an equivalent like printing to PDF, which would hopefully display in iBooks.
