I noticed the fan on my mac was spinning up even when the laptop was idle for quite a while and just doing basic tasks. So i opened up Activity Monitor and the processor had one core running at 100%. I looked for the task and it was PrintJobMgr I tried quitting the task and it worked, i thought ok maybe it was a one off.

But a few hours later it was back iv quit it a few times but it just keeps stating its self again.

Any ideas what it could be or how i can stop it?

BTW i am running 10.5.2 and i think it has only started since i updated to .2
i attached a screen dump of Activity monitor.

Humm...

Yeah thanks for that looks like its not really a fix but deleting everything in the print queue seams to stop it.

Its a canon ip4000 and it is connected to a windows pc which is connected to my air port extreme through ethernet and my mac is connected over the wireless. I'm using the drivers for this printer which are pre installed in OSX.
