Has anybody figured out how to configure or change what is considered a prioirty notification.
It seems almost every notification I haven't turned off is priority.

Everything from Calendar, a good number of emails, Slack.

There can be priority emails but it seems to be way to many.
There can be priorty slack but mostly it shouldn't be.

Pageduty should be priorty.

Is it really that you basically turn it on or off but no other dials?

You can adjust whether the notification is considered priority or not in the options in Notification Centre or on the lock screen. As soon as I get one I'll screenshot it.

Edit: screenshot attached. See Don't Show in Priority

How to you get to this is this on the Mac or iPad? I cannot find it on the phone. If I hold the message it just tries to open it or answer it or something.

I'm not running MacOS 26 yet so can't speak to how to do it on there (also this is the iOS 26 forum, you may have more luck posting in the macOS Tahoe (26) forum). The method for getting to the menu I showed will be the same on both iOS and iPadOS, slide to the left on the notification and tap Options.

MacOS doesn't have the "Prioritize Notifications" feature. For the iPad, do you have Apple Intelligence turned on, and "Prioritize Notifications" turned on? Or if you meant how to get to the menu, it's the same as iOS.

Swipe the notification halfway over, then tap Options. Don't swipe too far, or you'll clear it.

You can also go to Settings > Notifications > Prioritize Notifications and turn them off/on for your apps there. This is the equivalent of the "Don't Show in Priority" option above. Tapping "Don't Show in Priority" toggles it off here.

As far as reducing them per app or changing what's considered to be a priority, you can't... The feature is either on or off for the app. It's up to Apple Intelligence to determine if it's a priority.
