I cannot get my Prius 2010 (with tech package, nav system) to pair to my iphone. My iphone recognizes that there is the car "multimedia" bluetooth, but the two won't connect. I was able to do it with my htc touch phone (which I've since deleted) but not with the iphone. Any help?

I just wanted to make sure you are initiating this from the car...I assume you are....I can't think of a reason that it should not work....do you have the correct input code?

I just have an older prius and the 3G so I can't speak to your exact issue....

I'm also thinking of getting a 2010 Prius accessory for my iPhone 3GS (it's just more fun to say that way). Anybody have one and an iPhone 3GS and know how the connectivity works both with Bluetooth and the stereo system? I'll probably try it anyway before I purchase but sometimes longevity of use shows things I won't see in a 5 minute try.

So it definitely DOES -- I have both confirmation fro Toyota, and through a YouTube video of someone actually doing it. Have fun and drive safe! :D

Compatibility of IPhone 3G with Prius 2010 ?

My wife just purchased a new Prius 2010, and her 3G IPhone paired fine with the built-in Navigation/Audio system. However, the ability of the vehicle to retain contacts is intermittent. One minute they are there, the next they are gone and screen doesn't respond. So, initial Bluetooth pairing works, but I'm wondering if there isn't an incompatibility with the two systems that prevents getting full functionality.

Is a Iphone 3gs required?. I have the pre-3g iphone but with the lastest 3.x software. I have no problem pairing my phone to my 2010 Prius with Nav system.... but am unable to pair my iphone portable music player.

Also - I am unawre of any pairing mechanism from my iphone's ipod player as the only pairing config screen that I can make out is in setting/general BT.

Thanks
David

Prius 2010 and iphone 3gs bluetooth pairing ...

You are not alone. Pairing worked great in 2006 Prius with iPhone but it won't work with 2010 Prius and iPhone 3Gs as a phone. It does work as a bluetooth MP3 Player. Go figure.

I can't imagine where the problem is, but I'm sure it isn't you or the Toyota.

I don't have the nav system in my 2010 since I almost only drive back and forth to work and well... I know that route well... :)

But I did read at least on the non-nav that you can only pair the phone capability. I do seem to remember that you could not do both iPod and phone capability via bluetooth but was unsure which package that was on. You might try the PriusChat.com forums too as there are a lot of threads there on this issue. While MR knows a lot about iPhones, there's probably less Prius knowledge here... :)

My iPhone 3Gs paired just fine with my 2010 Prius with the Navigation Package. You only need to pair it once. I paired it through the phone interface and it worked fine.

The audio interface is lame though. No control at all.
