I was thinking about buying the Webghost application. It is suppose to hide your IP address so you can web surf anonymously. I have read three reviews on this product and they have not been good. Anyone having used this application, what is your opinion about this product? Is there another alternative application to buying the Webghost application, if you think Webghost is a waste of money? Can anyone recommend a good book on setting up a proxy server in your home?

I have not tried webghost, but I do use a vpn service. Publicvpn, is about 6 bucks a month, and it hides your ip address by using one from another location. Your ip address is then hidden, as well as all data sent from your computer to the publicvpn "host" is encrypted.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for the information.
