Pro 9.7" Auto-Brightness

Coming from the Air 1 I find the Auto-Brightenss of the new 9.7 Pro to be very aggressive and it changes luminosity very quickly at the slightest change in ambient light.
(Please do not confuse this with the True Tone which seems to work absolutely great)

Are you experiencing this?
Was this the same on the Air 2?

I am giving it some time to see how much on an issue (or benefit) it is in real life, but at the moment I am very tempted to just switch it off and control brightness manually.

To me there is no doubt Apple has changed how the auto brightness works on my 9.7.

a friend of mine told me he has the same problem on ipad pro 9.7. The auto brightness change even the ipad not moving at all in the room. My ipad air has no such issue tho
