Any ideas on when Apple will finally combine the power of Pro and size of Air? Return of the balanced 'Macbook' would be on my Christmas shopping list... that's for sure!

The Pro with Retina Display is as close as you are going to get for a while at least. The Retina Display cannot be built any smaller at this time, the battery required to run such a powerful processor needs to be larger, and finally different components require more significant cooling measures. The Pro with Retina Display is already pretty petite and also very light. It is really running the Air for the money now with the $1299 base price tag.
