I am thinking to buy Final Cut Pro to learn how to edit videos to use power of my M1Max.
Do u know if it is possible to buy it after purchase through calling Help desk? I have bought 16” M1 Max with education discount but did not buy Pro Apps Bundle with it.

And is Final Cut in Pro Apps Bundle new release?

Thanks

I've been wondering about this.

It's far cheaper to have it pre-installed when you configure your order rather than buying it separately (£162 vs £215), but selecting the pre-installation option even on a base model will limit you to BTO. You can't choose to collect in store and just download it.

Curious to know if it actually comes pre-installed, if they send you codes, or if it's just added to your account for you to download.

It's the same price ($199) for US education store whether you choose to have it pre-installed or buy it later.

Spent some time chatting with a couple of different specialists today, they won't let me buy it at the lower price. Pre-installation only apparently.

That's some proper ******** given that you guys in the US get it at the same cost either way. Also the £215 we have to pay here is over $290! Both specialists sounded uncomfortable talking about it, it's clearly a nonsense.

This is particularly annoying given I already have Logic and only want Final Cut.

Oh well grumblegrumble
