Pro Max 13 Call Quality issues

So I have had this issue since I received my phone on Oct. 1. All my calls sound horrible both incoming and outgoing, badly compressed audio, almost every other word dropping, getting pieces of words, digital static sound, etc. I had an SE 2 before this and never had an issue with quality. I have a clear Spigen case on my phone and I even work to keep my hand off the 5G receiver spot. I'm on Verizon and am in an area where they have worked to implement 5G, we were even one of the test markets for UWB 5G in our downtown. Anyone else having this issue and were you able to correct it on your own, or should I start a replacement process with Verizon? Everything else on the phone works great and I love it except for this call issue and there are circumstances in my life where I can't just not use the phone part.
