Does anyone know of a case that is not huge, though will survive a drop without cracking the front or back screens?

Thanks.

Not really physically possible. If you want reliable drop protection, you need a 2 or 3 layer case, particularly one with front lip to protect the display. Start with the Otterbox Commuter.

Understood. My concern is with the iPhone Max Pro being so large to begin with I was hoping to find a good case that doesn't add much more to the overall size...

I highly recommend Presidio2 Grip, I literally throw my phone around and all is intact. Although I am looking for an alternative for the only reason is that I have been using this case for years and I am bored with it

I've been using the Apple leather cases since the iPhone 6 and have had a lot of drops and zero damage. Two very recent examples with my 11 Pro Max.

1. Dropped on uncarpeted oak stairs. Phone bounced down a few steps. No damage, not even any compression damage or scratches.

2. Dropped from about 4' onto granite block step on porch. 11PM in the leather case landed on a bottom corner. It actually split the corner of the case, but zero damage to the phone itself. The case looked ok, mostly, but I replaced it because it didn't seem likely that that case was going to offer any protection from another fall on that corner. (Sure, what are the chances? - but why tempt fate.)

Phone drops/falls are obviously completely random but I've been incredibly satisfied with the Apple leather cases. The case for the 12 Pro should be even more protective, since they've closed the bottom of the case around the ports.

Though their customer service is not exactly the best but Mous cases are pretty good imo....

Been using them in my X and now 12 pro...

I've always used leather cases that get dropped on the ground every few weeks (toddlers). This time I'm thinking of going AppleCare + a glass screen protector and some sort of skin protector on the back? Not sure how much protection those offer from a drop though.
