I haven't tried a newer version than that, but if you do, let me know! I turned off the splash screen and the dark theme. The dark theme slows down the interface. It seems to run a little bit cooler than CS3 apparently.
So if you want to draw with a pixel perfect brush, use animation layers, symmetry drawing, onion skinning, and more, it's all possible on your brand new PowerPC.
Only tried on my PBG4 1.5/1.25. I use Windows 2000 SP5 - Extended Kernel. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Would love to know. https://archive.org/details/win2ksp5
