Pro Mouse on a Mac Pro -- will it work?

I like that mouse (nothing much to get dirty or clogged) and if I want to use gestures I can always (learn to) use a Magic Trackpad. I don't want to deal with the Magic Mouse since, from what I read, it gobbles up batteries or you have to always keep a bunch of rechargeables ready to go. Of course that's needed anyhow for a Magic Trackpad but apparently it's doesn't eat batteries as bad as the Magic Mouse.
