i’m assuming this is a very noobish question, but oh well....So after I take a pro raw photo (and my photo is labeled RAW) in the photo i just took, am i supposed to have more options with editing? To me it looks like i have the same amount of options as if I took a normal JPEG version of the picture. Do i need a 3rd party app to take full advantage?

You have the same editing options. The Apple ProRAW file itself contains more data than the jpeg and has less processing done to it.

As far as needing 3rd party apps, maybe, lol. If the particular scene is ‘easy’, as in well lit and not a wide range of light values, probably not. If you’re trying to save shadow and highlight detail in a 15-stop scene, or shooting in low light, maybe there are some 3rd party apps that specialize in things like that. I’m still checking it out myself.
