Just purchased an LG 38" Ultrawide monitor and have this question,
Watching streaming services like Amazon and Netflix Via an Amazon Firestick and the picture quality is fantastic, However watching films purchased from iTunes from my MacBook the picture quality is not as good as the Firestick. The native resolution of the LG is 3840 x 1600 and looking at the specs for the MacBook it suggests support for HDMI resolution 3840 X 2160 at 30Hz. So will it be possible to view content via the MacBook on the LG up to 3840 X 1600 or are there limitations as to achievable resolutions from the Mac. Also when the Mac specs says support what does this actually mean?. Thanks.
