Pro Tools 7 and Xpress Pro won't install together

Hey Gang-

I'm working off of a Power Mac G5 Dual 2.3 GHz with 4GB Ram on 10.4.11.
I am a Pro Tools man, 7.4 on the Digi 002. I'm also an Avid man, working off of Avid Xpress Pro, version 5.7.2.

Here's the problem, they DO NOT work together. I can't install one, without uninstalling the other. I've known about this problem for a couple of years, being that the Pro Tools CoreAudio Manager upsets Avid's DAE/Audiosuite functions or vice versa.

Question is: Does anyone know if this nasty little issue has been resolved?
