I'm not going to lie, after FCX came out, I am cautiously worried about Logic. Pro Tools 9 looks strong. I have used Media Composer so I am looking at this suite.
I believe there must be a preference for bypassing the chain during soloing. Soloing tracks to listen to the plug-ins is such a common thing to do for me in Logic or on live-outboard gear that I just have a hard time believing you can't do it in PT 9.. My guess is that there is a preference for that otherwise reboot or delete the preference file and try again. Please post solution- thanks.

OK, I am willing to try that, but rebooting and deleting the preference file will NOT change other settings, nor change any other things?
