I have just ordered a copy of Pro Tools MP9 for my mobile pre interface online and it is on the way as I write this. However I also read some unsettling things about a lack of support for Pro Tools MP9 in Mountain Lion. Can somebody please let me know if is or isn't compatible with Mountain Lion, google yields no certain answer. Thanks.

I received pro tools mp9 and when installing it on mountain lion it initially failed. However I attempted it a second time and while it took half an hour to complete (it stalked at the end) it did successfully install.

Updating was very similar except when it initially failed to update to 9.0.5, it removed the application file meaning it would refuse to update a second time. I resolved this by opening the update package contents, and manually installing just the main software package myself. I then ran the update a second time with complete succes.

It is now running perfectly on mountain lion.

Man, I was about to post a new thread if Pro Tools MP7.4 can run on Mountain Lion...

Yes, my copy of Pro Tools is super ancient... It was designed to run on Tiger and Leopard... :D

my school still uses G5 PowerMacs with PT7 and it does the job very well :D

That's why I'm still stuck with SL and have no regrets about it... :D:D

SL was my first OSX and my favourite. I think the last two versions have offered more gimmicky features than real strides like 10.5 and 10.6. Especially for pro users.
