I currently use PC and Mac which and I have x2 38" (LG 38WN95C-W) ultrawide monitors next to each other.
I've noticed on the Mac that the text is often blurred and not as sharp than it is on the PC when looking at the same webpages side by side.
(Currently have a an M1 MBP but am waiting on a new 16" MBP Max).

I've tried a few monitors and the only one where the text was better was the LG UltraWide 34WK95U - but i found it to small (not wide enough and too tall) and couldn't get enough open windows side by side that I'm used too on screen.
The only way I could get enough on screen at once was if I used 5120x2160 but then everything was just small to read and the next resolution setting down was too big and couldn't get enough on screen again. A third party app where i could get inbetween the resolutions didnt really work either.

I am moving away from PC soon so thought about getting Apples Pro XDR Display but am again worried it will be to small for me after years of using 38" - 49" screens.
How do these Pro XDR Displays work in terms of resolution and getting enough real estate on screen? Will I have the same problem as the the LG UltraWide 34WK95U again as I've never seen one in person and there is no Apple store within an hour of me.

Another option: Three 27” 5k LG displays? Cheaper than one pro xdr, and same pixel pitch.
Same panel as in the 27” iMac

Problem is the bezels. I do video editing and making the software wider on screen would mean the bezels breaking my timeline window and source windows etc.

Out of the box, the highest HiDPI mode offered on the XDR is 3008×1692. That is less horizontal screen estate than on the LG 34” ultrawide, which macOS offers up to 3840×1620 on.

I have 2 XDRs on my M1Max MBP and find that Is enough with them side by side and the MBP between them underneath. Works well for me and the text is crisp, plus it works better than most 3rd parties.

Love the real-world report, thanks. Question - how are you connecting? Multiple cables? Hub of some kind?

do you notice any difference when looking at your MBP screen with Pro Motion vs Pro Display XDR?

I can tell a difference on my iPad but honestly between the MacBook and the XDR display it is not as noticeable as I thought. I think it’s either not functioning correctly or Apple is overpromising and under delivering on what it is really actually capable of.

The blacks and mini LED functionality is actually very impressive though. Much better than the XDR display themselves
