Made out of satin... and there are colors other than burnt orange... and for smaller MBPs as well...

The Speck is what I just got for mine, in Black. I guess if the tabs break it will be useless 
I am just going to be careful when I do remove it. I like it, it is semi transparent so you still can see all the lighted parts thru the skin.
