I'm not sure where this problem is originating so thought I'd put it out there to see if anybody else is having a similar problem.

Running Snow Leopard on a 2X2.8 Quad-Core MacPro. I have the energy settings set to "Never go to sleep" but the computer keeps going to sleep when I'm copying or burning DVDs using Toast.

What's happening is that I will start a disc copy. It will eject and want the blank disc. I'll put in the disc. And twice now I will come back to the computer to find a blank screen (not even the horrible screensaver that it defaulted to and I haven't gotten around to changing). When I use the keyboard or mouse to wake it up, the DVD starts its burn - it had been in neutral or asleep during the last half hour instead of burning.

As it's Toast 8 (and it doesn't seem to like Snow Leopard much...the status of burn graphics get wonky during the burn...)it might be the program that's the problem and I might just have to upgrade to 10. But as it might be a Snow Leopard bug, figured I'd mention it (if it's happening on other versions of Toast or other disc copy programs)

So far it's only happened with double layer disc copying, so it may be tied to the amount of time it takes to read one of those DVDs.
