I keep getting this error message (Unable to determine free space on disk) when I try to copy a dvd, any dvd, data or uncopy protected movie. This is the message I get when I put in the disk to be copied in, not the blank. Oh, BTW, I'm using Toast.

Thanks

In System Preferences go to the second row and click on CDs & DVDs. Then choose the appropriate actions.

Good info. to know but no help

Thanks for the info. as a new Mac user every little tid bit like that is good to learn but ... it didn't help with my problem.

One thing I didn't make clear was when I get the message. The message comes after I have put the original disk to be copied in and Toast has read the disk and ejected it. Instead of a message telling me to put in a blank I get the "unable to determine free space on disk" message.

Thanks
