I have a mac mini acting as a server and I have an old Canon Ip6700D printer plugged into its USB port. It's running high sierra and prints just fine. The driver is working fine. I have it set to share the printer over the network.
I have my other mac that I just upgraded to Mojave and can't get it recognize the network printer.
It had been working just fine with High Sierra using an old print driver, but I ran into a problem printing so tried deleting and reinstalling the print driver. Since then I haven't been able to get the mac to recognize the print driver. I can't remember how I hd gotten it to work.
When i try to add the printer it sees the network print, but when I go through teh screens to add it I get this message.....
"Unable to verify the printer on your network."
"Unable to connect to ‘Canon iP6700D @ Bender._ipps._tcp.local.’ due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?"
It's weird because it does see the network printer, even pulls up the correct driver, it just isn't setting it up correctly some where.
Any ideas on how to get the Mojave Mac to recognize the network printer?
